Elizabeth Pignatello is of counsel to Cameron LLP and is based in the firm’s Washington D.C. office. She also is the owner and principal of the Law Office of Elizabeth Pignatello, PLLC. Ms. Pignatello practices in the areas of securities and intellectual property.
Ms. Pignatello’s securities practice concentrates on securities regulation and compliance. She specializes in representing and counseling clients in the sale of restricted securities in compliance with Rule 144 of the Securities Act of 1933, which acts as a “safeharbor” exemption from registration requirements. Ms. Pignatello’s securities practice also focuses on debt conversion for small and mid-size public companies; drafting private placement memoranda; and counseling and representing clients regarding employment contracts, employee stock option agreements and various other employee-shareholder/issuer relations.
Ms. Pignatello’s intellectual property law practice focuses on prosecution of domestic and foreign trademark applications for registration and assisting clients in various trademark matters, including trademark availability and selection, maintenance of existing trademarks, opposition proceedings, consent agreements, settlement agreements and resolution of trademark disputes. Ms. Pignatello represents clients in a wide range of industries in registering and protecting their trademarks. She has particular expertise in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, technology and medical devices. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Pignatello worked as a trademark examining attorney in the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Ms. Pignatello graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan in 1993, and earned her J.D. from the Washington College of Law of the American University in Washington, D.C. in 1996. Ms. Pignatello is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia.
